Using iPSP with iTunes

iPSP makes it easy to play your MP3 and AAC M4A music on your PSP in a few simple steps. iPSP does not support music purchased from the iTunes Music Store (iTMS).

Creating a Playlist in iTunes for use on the PSP

Create a new Playlist by clicking the + button:

Name the Playlist PSP Playlist and Press the Return key

"Power User" Tip: You can instead create a Smart Playlist named PSP Playist for use with iPSP that will update your PSP Playlist with Music based on criteria you choose, such as format, and set a total size limit for the playlist. See the iTunes Help for info on using Smart Playlists.

Transferring Music to your PSP

Using iTunes, drag any .m4a and/or .mp3 you'd like to view on your PSP into your PSP Playlist. When you connect your PSP or insert a valid PSP formatted Memory Stick into a connected card reader, iPSP will copy your music to the PSP, automatically converting your m4a audio to mp3 format as they copy.

Additionally, you can copy your music at any time to a connected PSP/PSP formatted Memory Stick by choosing Sync Music to PSP from the iPSP Status Item in the Menu bar:
